Student Assessment & Placement
Kgaswe International School evaluates prospective students to ensure they are placed in the most suitable learning level. Short assessments help the school understand each student’s academic ability and readiness for the program they have applied for.
Academic Assessment
English Assessment: Students complete a short English test designed to evaluate reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
Mathematics Assessment: A Mathematics test is conducted to determine the student’s level of understanding and numerical ability.
Purpose of the Tests: These assessments help teachers understand the student’s academic strengths and identify the appropriate class placement.
Placement & Special Considerations
Borderline Age Cases: Assessments may help determine the most suitable year group for the student.
Learning Support Needs: Additional evaluation may be conducted if previous schools or parents identify learning support requirements.
Final Placement Decision: Results from the assessments help the school determine the most appropriate learning environment for the student.
